Compact, robust, intelligent
and versatile
CORONA is an industrial reflection/transmission head
for measuring applikations in the UV/VIS/NIR range. Spectral sensor
and micro-computer are already integrated. A combination of modern
diode array technology, high-precision optics, fast and
high-resolution electronics resulted in a measuring head for
different measuring tasks in process monitoring, quality control and
in the laboratory.

CORONA REMOTE |
The total elimination of moving mechanical components offers a very
high degree of reliability and permanent correctness of the spectral
wavelength. And all this in combination with a scanning time in the
milliseconds range and simultaneous detection of a wavelength range
between 340 nm and over 2000 nm.

The option of parallel detection and evaluation of
the visible wavelength range and the Near Infrared also enables new
types of measuring concepts with CORONA such as simultaneous in-line
measurement of colour and moisture on running conveyor belts. For
you this means: Better quality, better production transparency and
thereby saving of costs. Application-specific measuring geometry and
accessories allow the realisation of a multitude of different
measuring tasks:Colour, measurement of layer thickness,
determination of moisture, concentration of ingredients in foods, or
a combination of these applications.

System configuration
The CORONA Blender includes the standard CORONA which houses the MMS NIR spectral sensor but is connected to a separate OMK 500 measuring head by 1.8 m NIR fiber. Can be battery operated with wireless communication. The CORONA Blender includes a second light box that houses the battery and one half of the RFmodem with a trigger switch. Both are made of IP 65 and mounted to the frame of the IBC blender. A PC with an RF receiver in a remote location collects the data.
