400 ES Pharma
TOC Analyzer |
|
 |
Overview
The Sievers TOC 400ES is designed for use by the pharmaceutical industry.
The 400 ES provides on-line TOC analysis specifically for compliance with
USP Chapter <643> and EP Chapter 2.2.44. The 400 ES monitors both TOC and
conductivity in bulk water for injection (WFI) and purified water (PW).
The patented Integrated On-line Sampling system (IOS™) provides
unparalleled ease in applying both system suitability and calibration
standards on-line.
Employing Sievers' proven membrane/conductometric-measuring technology,
elimination of costly TOC false positives is assured with the 400 ES

Sulfur
Chemiluminescence Detection |
|
 |
Overview
In foods, flavors and beverages, for example, sulfur compounds contribute
both positive and negative characteristics, and these
characteristics are concentration dependent.
Sulfur chemiluminescence detection technology allows its users to
not only measure total sulfur, but individual sulfur species as
well, which is frequently more important, and certainly more
informative than total sulfur measurements alone.
GE Analytical Instruments manufactures the Sievers Model 355 SCD
to help fulfill sulfur measurement needs in production and
research.

Nitrogen
Chemiluminescence Detection |
|
 |
Overview
The Sievers® 255 Nitrogen Chemiluminescence Detector (NCD) builds
on GE Analytical Instruments expertise in chemiluminescence
detection technology.
This is accomplished by using a stainless steel burner to achieve
high temperature combustion of nitrogen containing compounds to
form nitric oxide (NO). A photomultiplier tube detects the light
produced by the subsequent chemiluminescent reaction of NO with
ozone. Because of the specificity of the reaction, complex sample
matrices can be analyzed with little or no interference.
